This was my first time in Portugal and actually, I didn't know so what to expect except for hot summer like the Israeli, If not more.. The weather was hot and steaming, But he could not detract from the sheer power it experienced. It is set to”Sleeping beauty”, She tucked away on the edge of the continent., Kisses to the Atlantic and look to the far horizon had once belonged.. The land is land which is dominant on all aspects, The mountains with green terraces, Vines fields in many colors, Huge rocks gray red and yellow colors bright and one river that passes through them.. This trip on the Douro River Valley area of Northern Portugal to, And was a multi-sensory experience I won't forget never. Get ready to fall in love.. Photography: Ronnie de Lleida

Landed in the middle of the night in the beautiful Porto, And already the next day shablul region of Minho on the views of numerous vineyards. Douro Valley (Douro Valley) All that was declared by UNESCO”A UNESCO World Heritage site, Many farms and studs From machines in Portuguese. These farms are engaged in growing vineyards and wine production and most also offer hotels, Some are simple., Some luxury and almost always decorated in earthy colors, Natural materials like stone and wood, And simply invites. We stopped at a few tasty tours, The wine was delicious and no other. The booming industry in Portugal is part of the country's economy main, The culture and every meal you eat. I didn't say it was boxes among the best wines I've ever tasted., Especially the famous port wine exported from there all over the world.. Wine tasting tours accompanied by the local cuisine which is mostly pure fish and seafood. Not exactly my schedule., But I went along.

On the shore of the Atlantic visited the ancient city of Viana do Castelo and posed another Portuguese cuisine offering rich cuisine from the sea but believes in simplicity. No seasoning except salt., But with lots of love., Met the dishes with the Bacalhau – Welcome packet which repeats itself everywhere., The combination of cod with vegetables, And Octopus. (Octopus) On round rice, Ilana has confirmed that was delicious.. I remember just looking at her plate..

We visited in Ponto de Lima, In wild scenery of the sleepy village of Amarante, Alvao Natural Park again. – Mountain Park in which is hidden a green waterfall, One of the secrets of Portugal. We ate at a local restaurant in one of the nearby villages.. The soup served was so simple but caught me off guard and I fell in love. Velvety potato and cabbage soup, It also turns out from the Portuguese flagship dishes. Eat it with country bread and olive oil.

Passed over ancient towns that look like time stopped still.. Small villages hidden among the mountains and the local Portuguese who were happy to bring us into the world to glimpse. We visited the local Bread bakery still bakes as those promoting, And the Potter szerio, When creating a court for years the Portuguese traditional clay and burn them in the oven as I have old life.. We walked in an ancient Roman road and our good earth., Raspberry bar, Figs and apples.. We climbed higher until it was possible to see the breathtaking scenery almost heaven. It is impossible to describe in words the intensity of these rocks, Mystical.. I like them I discovered the power of creation..

In the evening dinner booked a traditional Portuguese House light guide, Of an archeologist nor a historian by profession. In a tiny mountainside village., He and his family were waiting for us in the warm welcome. Antique stone house in the old enough to intrigue me., And already on the way in we realized that this is a serious family.. Part of the House was converted into a workshop for production of Portuguese ramekins blacks and is predominantly living. Dinner in their courtyard under the stars and delicious, But when the coffee, Alberto Gala announced that now are going to look at the stars and turned off the light.. We lifted our heads up and in front of our eyes we discovered a sea of bright stars until I was really excited. It was a magical evening by all accounts.

In the small village of Provasende overlooking from a height 600 A meter on the Douro River, We stopped at a sweet souvenir and delicacies shop, A sumptuous Church which takes immediately attracted my eyes up. A neighborhood Café and traditional stone hatkshti to leave.. How beautiful.. On a walking tour of the village, I just couldn't stop filming the wild landscapes which two curves between the winding river.

There are also companies that offer sailing boats Rabelo slider, Traditional wooden ship used for centuries to transports people and goods on the river. Until the arrival of the train was the quickest and most efficient way to ship the barrels of Fort Valley to Porto wineries, Away out the wine.. The perfect take, we managed to catch a passing train from either us while on the boat..

The next day we had ourselves a train ride either route almost perfect it came before us amazing views that you can see just from this section of the train.. Was just adorable..
